The South Texas Stampede brought the full force of flavor and family to the 6th Annual Gene Potts Memorial Steak Cookoff on April 12, 2025, at the Brazos Expo Center in Bryan, TX. From securing 22 top-10 calls, earning 2 Golden Tickets, and celebrating a perfect score by one of our youngest talents — to honoring our cast-iron champions from the SCA World Championship — this was more than a cookoff… it was a statement of excellence. With the Steak Cookoff Association (SCA) sanctioning the event and the STS community showing up in full force, it became an unforgettable day of celebration, competition, and legacy.
